We all fight, this is natural and normal but it is all about learning how to fight smarter.

2 Golden Rules of Fighting Smarter:

  1. No ultimatums and no threats.

Mutually agree that these are off the table.

  1. When things are getting heated say I am going to hit pause so I can change my state and feel

better.

Once you are feeling better come back and finish this conversation.

I remember this couple who were constantly fighting, saying things they did not mean to each other in the heat of the moment and causing each other pain.

Insults were thrown around.

They were ready to call it quits.

They believed they were incompatible because they kept fighting.

Once they were reminded that fighting was healthy and apart of a successful relationship and what matters was how you do it. 

They were able to fight but also do it in a way that did not harm each other.

We all fight, this is natural and normal but it is all about learning how to fight smarter.
